Tranquil camp, located on a certified organic working family farm, just over the Massachusetts border in Guilford, Vermont and close to Brattleboro, Vermont.

These sites are spacious, open plots of land on a The Franklin Family Farm property that are prime for Campers that want to experience bare bones camping and bring their own tents and gear.

Overview

The camp site is in an area of the farm that was cleared of forest 6 years ago. The camp is kept mowed. Three acres or so around it are in an early growth stage. All of it is surrounded by 200 acres of productive woodland and adjacent to 80 acres of pasture. Beautiful views just around the corner.It is truly a birders' paradise, as song birds, owls,and raptors thrive here. Potable well water and wash sink at site.

State of the art 2016 Outhouse for your convenience. Toilet paper provided. Sun warmed camp shower.

There is also a picnic table, fire pit (first bundle of wood included-more can be purchased or gathered), and Tiki Torches. Solar lights light the path to the outhouse as evening comes on..

There are trails to explore all through the woods. Stone walls,and and other stone structures remain from early colonial settlement here. Spend your days driving or biking endless dirt roads through the surrounding countryside. Two 100 mile dirt road bike races travel on Packer Corners Rd. each summer. Weatherhead Hollow State Pond is half a mile down the road where you can swim, kayak and fish. Brattleboro, VT and Greenfield, MA are both 9 miles away in opposite directions.

Site Guidelines

The campsite is located on and old class four road less than a quarter of a mile off the town road. All wheel drive or four wheel drive vehicles with adequate clearance required to travel to it. Dogs must be leashed and cleaned up after. It is a leave no trace campsite. Carry out all you carry in. Minimum cleaning fee of $50 will be charged if campsite is left a mess. Food waste can be fed to our pigs. Do check yourself for ticks regularly.
